    Some of this depends on what prepaid, postpaid no-contract or contract plan you choice but in some cases large family plans on contract can be cheaper than going prepaid. Still, both T-Mobile and Cricket (now owned by AT&T) offer really good family rates that easily beats out the contract plans. Better coverage.
